Furbo is equipped with streaming video in 720p HD and in night vision as well. The device also has a two way audio transmitter and has a 120 degree lens in hopes of fully fitting your pet in the frame. The barking alert sensor is another feature of Furbo which allows you to get alerted when your dog is barking. Additionally, the Furbo dog camera not only provides treats to your pet at your will, but it actually tosses them which gives your pet more enjoyment. Furbo’s device can fit up to 30 normal-sized treats.
One of Furbo’s primary competitors is PetChatz HD which is a much more expensive option (currently priced at around $380). PetChatz is supposed to have a higher HD quality and has a two way video as well whereas Furbo only has a one way video (you can see your pet, they cannot see you). Furbo does however have a two way audio system, and many believe that that is more than sufficient.

A majority of customers seem to be very satisfied with the product, especially happy with its extra wide lens which allows you to get a good view of your pet. Some customers did however mention connectivity problems between the device and their iPhone. This product seems to have issues connecting to the smartphone more than other similar products. With such a great price point of around $230 though, this isn’t too surprising.
The Bottom Line
I would rate this product pretty highly. Most customers were quite pleased with it and its barking sensor is definitely a unique twist that most of its competitors don’t have. The fact that the camera lens is supposedly quite wide is also a huge plus, since several other similar products struggle in making such a camera. With such a cheap price point, despite the connectivity issues some users complain about, I would definitely recommend this product.
